I would explain it this way:
At TripleClicks, the ECAs run their own stores: loading and updating product photos & prices, packaging and filling customers order, run special product deals/sales, admin & research etc similar to other retail businesses.
The ECAs however need to comply with SFI (TripleClicks) requirements which are clearly spelt out. These include such things as - what cannot be sold, return & refund policy requirements, etc..
SFI provides the following:
- Free platform for an online store. ECAs don't pay until they have made a sale.
- Free websites to help them promote and run their businesses.
- Free IT backup/maintenance for websites
- TripleClicks have over 4 million members - all potential customers for the ECAs
- SFI have over a million affiliates who are also TC members. As well as being potential customers, they will also promote and sell the ECAs products.
- TC also promotes ECAs and their products to the SFI affiliates
- TC also has an important role in the event of a sale. The customer places the order with and pays the money to TripleClicks. TC advises the ECA of the order. The ECA then fills and have the customers order delivered. TC will then release the funds to the ECA less TC's payment.
When talking to potential ECAs remember to mention all of the above.
