I like to think about it as follows:
- TCurrency is money, no less, but pre-loaded into our account (the same way as pre-loaded credit cards or pre-load balance in mobile phones). It is equivalent to any other form of payment (such as your credit card or your paypal account), and is used, therefore, exactly the same way (except that previously you had to fund the balance).
Its main function is to provide another method of payment (a pre-pay method) for all those who haven't, can't or don't want to use their credit card or their PayPal account to make purchases.
To "fund your balance" you must go to one of the ECAs that have a TCurrency license, and therefore can offer this service. This is especially useful if it is a local ECA and you can physically go to it, pay in cash at that store and then spend that money on TripleClicks.
- TCredits are, however, virtual money, tokens to be exchanged for products or services. Personally I like to think of them as the chips you bought to ride bumper cars in an amusement park or even as casino chips that you purchases a certain amount for a certain price (not necessarily in a 1:1 ratio) and then you use them instead of money within the facility.
In TripleClicks, the TCredits are mainly the "entrance ticket" for games and auctions, but can also be used for other things like put a member listing, buying products and services and, recently added, to welcome the newly SFI affiliates well with TCredits Welcome or Cash Welcome programs.
There are several ways to get TCredits, since the direct purchase of the same (from $0.29 in the most advantageous package) to get them like a prize in any of the games, lotteries or bonuses that we enjoyed as SFI affiliates.
I hope it is useful!
