When people are not comfortable with online purchases and payments, they go shopping in person and pay for their wants and needs right out of their hand with cash, check, or credit card. Or in some cases, they barter. Either way, they are face to face with the seller and can arrange payment smoothly, and can see the end of the transaction.
For those people, it will take a long time usually to convince them to change their methods. You might succeed in changing their minds, but unless you can show them a product that they want but can not get locally, you will have to do a lot of convincing.
The best way to get them interested in our business is to make a plan. There are no first and second points. They are both first and second. It goes in a circle. The two points are:
A. Recruit PSAs from a certain locality. Promise them that you will have local ECA stores that they can buy from in person as they are used to doing.
B. Refer businesses from that locality to become ECAs that offer LocalPay local pick-up. Promise them that you will have customers for them.
Encourage both PSAs and ECAs to advertise for more customers(PSAs or PRMs) and more local businesses (ECAs) to join the co-operative (your local SFI/TC pocket). You as the Sponsor can offer advertising Co-ops for the PSAs and encourage all of them to advertise their local ECAs.
As the local economy gets better because of this, your people will be more willing to reach out over the internet.
