To a great extent, success depends on the efforts of the affiliate. Along the way to your destiny, you will come across not just material to read and understand but also people of which one them is of course your sponsor. The sponsor is your first point of contact but there are also other people in your upline including your co-sponsor. Sometimes the relationship between the sponsor and the affiliate is also affected by how one got the sponsor. For example it is possible to have a member of your family or friend as your sponsor if they introduced you to SFI. You can also get a sponsor allocated to you by SFI, or through an advert to which you responded.
Regardless of how you got the sponsor, you should try to do most of the work yourself and ask when you need help. It is true that one way of growing is to be in the company of those who have more experience or success. They are not just a source of help when you need it but also motivation. There is saying, “God helps those who help themselves.” What this entails is that you have to be the initiator and not your sponsor.
Some sponsors will never write to you or even reply to your queries but this should not put you off, as your success does not entirely depend on having a sponsor. On the other hand, there are some sponsors who are very helpful and write to their affiliates even when they (PSAs) are inactive. It is a bonus to have such helpful sponsors or co-sponsors and one should make the most of that type of relationship to grow their own team.
