But how far should your sponsor go in regards to building your own SFI business?
How much reliance on your sponsor do you expect to build a successful SFI business?
Consider the following points:
- What would you do, if your sponsor is unresponsive or quit?
If you believe that a strong sponsor is essential to building a team, then you need become the strong sponsor to your downline that you believe you are missing. Rather than blaming your sponsor, take responsibility for your downline. Most people that have built large incomes in network marketing do not have an active sponsor.
It’s time to take full responsibility and not blame your sponsor for your lack of success. If you wait on your sponsor to help you, you could be waiting for a long time. If you don’t need your sponsor (which you don’t), then you’ll go to work today to build your own SFI business.
You need to remember that you’re an entrepreneur. Nowhere in the SFI Rules of Success states: “For you to be successful, you must make someone else responsible for your success.”
- Many times, having a strong sponsor serves as a detriment because PSAs tends to lean heavily on the sponsor for support and is never required to develop the leadership skills necessary to build a strong team.
- Your sponsor’s responsibility ends once they get you started. His/her only job is to sign you up and point you in the right direction. If you expect your sponsor to build your SFI business for you, then you most likely will flounder and you’ll never taste the success of building your own SFI business.
Specifically a good sponsor will stay connected with you; training, coaching, mentoring and supporting you in growing your own SFI business. You can’t expect from your sponsor to do the heavy lifting for you. Your business and life challenges are unique to you but the principles of growing your SFI business are the same. Your sponsor will be pointing out to you the importance of SFI BASICS, LAUNCHPAD and logging in everyday performing To-Do List, focusing on your core activity of building your own network (sponsoring) and teaching your downline to do the same (duplication).
- If you are new to network marketing, the tendency is you rely too much on your sponsor and when your sponsor doesn’t give you what you have expected, you will get discouraged and will not continue building your business. You’ll lose in the end.
- When you join SFI, you should be serious about it and you should think that your sponsor is the one who brought you the opportunity but everything that you will do is for yourself and not for your sponsor.
The way you get good at your SFI business is by doing it and not by waiting and relying heavily on your sponsor’s help. The more hours you put into your SFI business, the better. As you grow a team and you have more and more active members, you’ll have opportunities to do training, coaching, mentoring and supporting your downline. Any time you find yourself waiting to build your SFI business because you don’t have anyone to help you, then you might as well just hang it up. It’s your own SFI business.
Have your own goals set up. Don’t wait for your sponsor to tell you everything what you need to do. Widen your knowledge base and develop yourself to become a leader. You must be aware that you are the business owner and it is in your hand whether to succeed or to fail. Embrace the responsibility and do your best. Your sponsor can’t dictate your performance. You are in control on how successful you’re going to build your SFI business.
