First, I take exception to the term "lazy" as used in asking this question. One man's lazy after all, may be another man's confused.
Having said this, let's look at motivation. One thing that makes people run away from the business it seems to me, is unrealistic expectations. Many people come into this business looking for quick easy money. Then the reality dawns and they are confused, disoriented and scared. Withdrawing seems the best alternative.
This is where you as the sponsor comes in. From the first, you should have established a rapport with them and been there to guide them through. Be free with information and be realistic. Tell them what SFI is factually. Let them know it is a business like any other and therefore they must work as hard as they would in a regular business. Teach them how they can succeed. This is just the start. Encourage them. Regularly check up on them. Ensure that the log in daily and do their daily tasks. Reward them when they achieve milestones.
I think you will have succeeded by doing all this in making a "lazy" affiliate into a serious, goal oriented one.
