The Genealogy page is my all time favorite page, as far as where I spend my time "working" in my business.
The front page gives me a great overview of which level of my team is performing most actively. I change Sort by: to Last Login, and dsc. This tells me from the top of the list going down, who is most active in my team. I'll change this to VersaPoints (this month) to see which affiliates are actively gaining VP, or doing the things needed to be done to become EA.
When I run across an affiliate that has recently logged in, yet has zero VP, I then know to look at their Affiliate Snapshot. First thing I am looking for is a language barrier. If I find that their primary language is NOT English, I'll send them an email, and use google translation, and send them an email in their native language. If I can find a related video in the same language that explains how to work SFI, I will include a link to that video for them, as well as advice them of the translator button found on most SFI pages.
I use the Genealogy page to send out e-cards, and team mails. This allows me to encourage my team, or give an affiliate personal attention. SFI truly has developed a very nice format with the Genealogy page.
The most used of all my options at Genealogy, is the Reassign key. I take hours to determine where to assign new affiliates. This helps me create momentum on my team. I happily reassign PSA to ANY affiliate that has taken time to become EA, and to establish a Standing Order. It's one of the few tools I have available to reward those on my team willing to create DUPLICATION.
Play with the features on Genealogy! It's eye opening, seeing what countries folks live in, what their native language is. You can even get a snapshot of the sales each affiliate has made.
In closing, I must admit, I very rarely send an email from my gmail account to SFI affiliates on my team. When using Genealogy to send out my mailings, there is that critical OPT-OUT feature. It's no secret NONE of us want to have an affiliate OPT-OUT, however, I'd rather that feature be available for use than not. I want my team to know the option is open to them. In a very discreet manner, this is my way of allowing them full choice in the matter, and letting them know that I am interested in keeping a team that CHOOSES to stay a team member.
