I would not use instant messaging for that purpose if I do not speak their language. There are translation tools all over the internet, but none of them are proficient enough to effectively communicate with an affiliate who speaks a different language.
The only way I know to deal with this issue is through the A2A Friends feature. Try to make friends with successful SFI affiliates from other countries. Then work out a partnership with them. Perhaps they can communicate with your affiliates on your behalf.
When possible, reassign that affiliate to someone who can speak your language and theirs. That way you can effectively notify your affiliate that they are receiving a new team member. Don’t try to establish a dialog with someone who does not speak your language. This will further confuse your affiliate and cause frustration for both of you.
You not only speak different languages, but you have different cultures. The same words may have different meanings in their culture. Therefore, you need to get your affiliate to someone who speaks their language as soon as possible.
