I did this when I first joined and then struggled to maintain the level after the first few months. I don't think this is a good idea as it costs money to maintain and there is no benefit if your team is inactive or non-existent.
My suggestion is to wait until you have enough regular EA2s in your team so that you benefit from matching VP. You can gauge when that is by studying your scoreboard page. Then when your team sees you move up to TL and you write about it in your blog and leadership page, they too will be motivated to keep growing their businesses and do the same thing.
