Edib;
Awhile back, there was a really good question here at AskSC that really captured my imagination. The question asked what I would do differently if I could start over at SFI. Your question here almost allows us to really go back in time to change our starts. Well, not for us but for our affiliate.
I believe the best start up strategy at SFI is to get to Bronze Team Leader quickly in the first month buy setting a 1500 VP SO and buying a new member pack. Then by being conservative on using just enough of the start up points available to get the AVP needed to reach BTL. Then DON'T use up anymore start points...save them to get to BTL again in the next month too.
Some people think you shouldn't go to team leader too soon but I completely disagree. Getting TL status allows you to share in the second-home CSAs and gaining BTL in the first month also counts as getting EA2. Both of those make it worthwhile.
An additional benefit to this quick start strategy is that you acquire your fast-track status and you have a healthy leg up on finishing first in your E365 Class.
Of course SFI is NOT just about getting points and buying status so in this first two months you need to be sponsoring and fostering new PSAs to become EA or better yet, to duplicate your lead and accelerate to BTL like you did.
Now in the second month you should still have enough start up and launch pad points to get back to BTL again. You have your 1500 VP SO but you can't buy the NMP again so you'll have to find something else worth 500 SVP. Here I would recommend some SFI letterhead, envelopes, cards and such. Perhaps your new PSA(s) that shot up to BTL for you will give you a few sponsorship AVP. that will save on the AVP you need.
You keep duplicating and by the third or fourth month the sponsorship points are boosting you to where start up points are no longer needed (and you've used them up too). Perhaps you'll want to buy some gift cards.
Conclusion; I think the best start to SFI is a fast dash forward and a huge leap into it with both feet. That is exactly how I would restart SFI if I could do it again, and it is precisely how I recommend for my affiliates to duplicate.
