Different people have different opinions. If I understand the term, it says “Team Leader” meaning someone who provides direction, instructions and guidance to a group of individuals, who can also be known as a team, for the purpose of achieving a certain goal.
I think the best time to upgrade your rank from EA to Team Leader is when you have those active people to lead.
SFI gives us the three steps. It says:
Step1. Become an Executive Affiliate (EA) and remain an EA every month.
Step2. Recruit five affiliates.
Step3. Teach your five affiliates to do these same three steps.
I believe if you follow this you’ll become Team Leader automatically.
I’m a happy person who don’t like stress. I believe on earning the status, rather than buying it. If you've earned it, it won’t be a problem maintaining it. If you bought it, your business will be a stress, you won’t enjoy it. Every month end you’ll have a problem on how to earn a certain quantity of AVPs.
So all in all, I believe that you must work on building your business. If you did great, you’ll automatically upgrade to Team Leader Level. The main reason of being a Team Leader is to earn Matching VPs from your team. Being a Team Leader without an active team is useless and costly because you won’t earn any Matching VPs and you’ll spend more time and money to maintain it.
