A team leader needs to have an active team in order to sustain the status. Although some affiliates make it to team leader status without an active team, by essentially spending money to purchase some products which contribute a large chunk of VP that qualify them to TL statuses. However, as a sponsor, it is important to help your team members who show signs of hard work, dedication and progression, to become team leaders by the following approaches:
1. Guide and assist them to embrace and put into practice the 3 basic steps;
- Make EA status every month
- Recruit 5 affiliates
- Teach these 5 affiliates to do these same 3 steps
2. You may complement the efforts above by reassigning some of your active PSAs to them and advise them to do the same to their own PSAs. This will ensure your PSAs are not only building their teams of active affiliates, but also building deep through duplication which is an incentive to go for a team leader status because of the benefits of increasing leverage income.
Again, do not restrict your reassignments to your generation 1, so make do with the newly introduced policy where you are allowed, if you are at least a silver team leader, to reassign your PSAs up to your generation 13, in order to increase the chances of your team members reaching team leader ranks and encourage them to duplicate your strategy.
3. Encourage them to make efforts to ensure they earn all available VP as much as possible, by performing all daily, weekly and monthly actions. You see, not taking these seriously may constitute a shortfall in the VP required to become team leaders, especially where VP from other sources, including team support VP, are not enough.
4. We all acknowledge the importance of building an active team to enhance and sustain a team leader status but you should also help, guide and encourage them to do sales and refer TC members and recruit ECAs. This is because they can earn sales VP from the purchases of their PRMs as well as 100 AVP for each ECA signup that achieves certain sales level.
5. It is not enough encouragement to assist them as mentioned above without driving home the benefits of each team leader ranks, so draw their attention to the Benefits Chart and Compensation Plan to see for themselves what they stand to gain/benefit from each team leader rank, from BTL to DTL.
6. Use the power of gifts and recognition to reward team leader status. Also, you may set up contests among your team members and give appropriate rewards for those who achieve certain milestones, including achieving team leader ranks.
In conclusion, your PSAs will be motivated and encouraged to make some more financial commitments to push them to TL ranks if required because of the potential to earn more income and receive more benefits. However, in whatever you do, please note that for your efforts to be successful and not to be perceive as dubious or exploitative, you need to lead by example, be selfless and respectful, earn their trust and be a hands-on sponsor.
