I won't answer a dollar amount because each of us has different means and ability but I will say that the best budget is every penny you are willing to sacrifice.
A business grows on sacrifice. If you are willing to take risk, willing to give up the little things to put more money into your business, and can turn every task or expense into an opportunity to save and invest you will see a much higher return on investment.
To say I wont spend more than $100 a month means your business is limited to $100 a month in success, and that success could take more time and effort than if you turned out the added lights in the house, and turned up the thermostat in the summer and down in the winter to scrape together $125 a month.
Your investment should be a risk because you will fight more if you have something to lose than if it's just spare money.
You need to focus on what you spend the money on too. If you listen to half these folks and buy more t-credits to spend on auctions you are taking dollars away from recruiting PSA and PRM. Growing your marketing reach and recruiting more people to your business should always take the lead over playing games or bidding in auctions. These people largely haven't realized that the 500VP for bidding in auctions and 200VP for playing games is only a surface scratch to the potential of their earnings.
They haven't realized that generating PRM sales at TripleClicks is a path to a 6 to 7 figure business and teaches you skills that can be passed on to your PSA so they make money, stay motivated, and don't quit. In the same breath these purchases from non affiliates will bring thousands of Versa Points to your business as well as sales commissions for the same kind of money that it cost you to earn 700VP between games and auctions.
Not being mean, as I said most of these respondents just haven't seen the big picture yet and are clinging to the piece they understand which is more VP equals more earnings, and are reaching for the one method they control the outcome on to gain as many VP and as high of a rank as possible.
Your business though has so much more potential so invest wisely.
