You might want to take a closer look at the construction of your ad, and its relevance to the market you are targeting.
There are 3 important elements to a successful ad.
1. Attention Grabber
2. Description of the benefits of your product
3. Call to action
The attention grabber is necessary because there are so many ads out there, people will simply skim over yours if it does not grab their attention. This might be a picture, an evocative statement, or unusual graphics, but it needs to stand out from the crowd.
The description of the benefits of your product is also important. Whether you are offering some added value to the product (like a gift card, or a free basic training course), or suggesting how the product could enhance their life (which is the main motivation for most people looking at ads in the first place), they must believe they will gain some benefit from responding to your ad.
The call to action is necessary because procrastination is a universal affliction. You would be surprised how many more people will respond if you end with a proactive statement, without sounding pushy. Tell them what to do, and they are far more likely to do it! For example, you might say "To get your free gift card right now, CLICK HERE!"
The ad's relevance to the target market is also important. You need to understand what people in your market are looking for, and tailor your ad (and choose the product you are promoting) to meet those needs. For example, "Worried about your retirement?" is not going to have the same impact on people in their 20's as it would on people in their 40's or 50's.
Hope this helps!
