Before advising your PSAs to buy from ECAs in their country you should be clear on certain things, like:
1. What is it you want them to buy from ECAs in their country?
2. What is their requirement?
3. Whether the products meet with their regular requirements or seasonal requirements?
4. Whether the prices are economical compared to the local stores?
5. Is their any specific advantages of buying from the ECAs?
6. Whether the products meet with the quality expectations of your PSAs?
7. Performance rating of these ECAs by other SFI affiliates;
8. Whether local currency payment is acceptable vis a vis payment through credit cards, etc.
If you have:
1. First hand knowledge and experience; &
2. If you are convinced of these and satisfied fully
then, you can explain thoroughly and advise your PSAs to buy from ECAs in their country.
On the other hand, if you just advise them to buy from ECAs in their country without these information it will not be helpful; In fact, it will be counter productive.
Conclusion:
Before advising, please do sufficient home work, equip yourself with adequate information and then proceed accordingly.
