First of all, you need to establish a reputation among your affiliates that you are a leader, who is knowledgeable with a good understanding of SFI business. Your knowledge and understanding make no sense to your affiliates if you do not impart same downwards, so you must be seen as a helpful and selfless leader who is always ready to guide without hesitation, promptly and decisively.
In order to get your affiliates attend your local training, you need to let them know the benefits of attending and what you intend to discuss. For example, you know some of the issues they constantly raise which you think the training will address, and then sell those particular points. Although you did not mention it but I suppose it is physical training session you are referring to, so they may be eager to see you and others in person, especially if their perception of you is positive.
You need to inform them that apart from training, there are other side attractions like refreshments, entertainment local to all, fun games etc. In conjunction with this, it may be necessary to include a 'catch' for those who will be attending the training session like; free co-op membership for a certain period, free own domain name, free SFI caps/T-shirts, free physical or e-books etc.
Also, the venue should be fit and proper for the training session and resist from the temptation of using your house because it does not look professional, especially if this is the first time you are doing a training session and ensure you communicate this to those you want to attend.
Finally, this meeting is local, so ensure you let your affiliates know that, apart from training, issues and problems common to your local affiliates will be discussed and solutions will be offered.
