Here is how I improved my communication skills.
I notice when I wrote letters that I would talk about something, then go on to something else and then had something I wanted to add to something I said earlier. So my thoughts were all over the page. I then started to rewrite the letters and put things in order of importance and brought my different paragraphs on the same subject together giving my thouhts a cohesiveness. Then I thought about how I could say what I wanted to say better. I end up writting several drafts but it is worth it. It makes me sound smarter, and what I am trying to say is a whole lot clearer.
Another piece of advice is to find out all you can on what you want to talk about. Because it is easier to be clear on what you want to say if you are more knowledgable about it.
