There are many answers given for this question using the term "garage sale" to refer to the TC Member TConnect page. I believe that the question is really asking about the real event called garage sale, tag sale, yard sale, rummage sale, etc.
Here, products are displayed with an asking price which is discounted far below the new retail price. At the end of the sale there is usually many items that were not sold and that are too valuable to be donated or tossed out.
When visiting a sale like this, always take either a stack of TripleClicks eCards or the plastic Gift Cards. Explain to the owners why you are giving it to them, because they can advertise these items at a very low cost for as long as they want. And there are thousands of people who will be looking at their items.
If you give out the Gift Cards, they can us the TCredits to advertise 6 of their items and can buy more TCredits to advertise more items. When giving out the GC I suggest that you write out a short set of instructions about how to register and then put the items into their TConnect Page. And include your phone number.
Many sales have items that are new in the box, or still have their original price tags on them. These could make good additions to your own TConnect Page. You can also make an offer to buy what they don't sell, and put these items on your TConnect Page for a higher price. The items that are not of interest can be donated.
While at the sale, you might also ask the owner if you can leave some xCards on her table for her customers to take. If you ask her for her phone number so you can pick up the remaining cards, you have her contact number and another chance, when she is less busy, to talk to her about TC or even SFI.
Remember that there are two reasons that a person will hold a garage sale, 1) to get rid of extra belongings, and 2) to gather some money for some reason. Help them see that this opportunity can help them reach both goals. And their customers are visiting because they are trying to stretch their paychecks and still keep up with the neighbors. Their goals can also be met with SFI/TC.
Your garage sales, featuring your unwanted items plus any items you bought from an ended sale, will draw many people who are also looking for great deals and a chance to save money.
Now you can also show off the Natural Products that TC sells direct. Print up the product descriptions and pass them out with your information on them. Wear your TripleClicks T-shirt and baseball cap, and be ready to answer questions.
