Generally, all we write the welcome message when we haven't have a clear and extensive idea that was is SFI or what is the way to forward with it We do it simply because it is one of the Starting Tasks, and since we are learning, we simply follow the script as we find our way.
So, it's totally normal that now, rereading it, it seems stale to you. With all that you have certainly learned so far, with all that every day all we discover in this business, how could a message written in our own beginnings to be evergreen?
As I see it, the solution is quite simple: Stop and consider why you think it is getting old. Then, rewrite it. Look back, search in your experience what you really think can really help your new affiliates and offer it as brief, concise and friendly way you are able.
Put yourself in their shoes, now that yours are already tanned, and ask yourself how would be the letter that you wish to read in your first days. Ask yourself what you would wish read, what that actually counted for your in these days. What had been the "perfect guide" for you.
It may take a few hours of leisurely reflection and several drafts, but if you do, I'm sure you'll get the fresher, vital and effective message greeting what are you looking for.
