This is something I feel needs updating at least every three months or so. New improvements come into SFI by Gery and his team all the time and some of these need to be pointed out in your introductory email.
A great idea which I think should be in place, is to write a selection of emails yourself with a view to forwarding them on to your team members to use.
You need to compose 5 or 6 emails, save them in Word and then email your team members and ask them whether they would like you to provide them with an introductory email which they could then forward on to their new PSAs.
Go through the newbies area again yourself. Don’t guess. The START, SFI BASICS and LAUNCHPAD are great learning materials. If you once again read through these areas, you can find some items which you can include in point form into your introductory emails.
These new and updated emails will be a mine of information both for yourself and for your team members. The work you will have to put in to gather the information for your welcome message is a great learning experience for all concerned.
