The basic message should always be the same – Welcome to SFI – I am your sponsor – here is what I do for you – here is how you start – here is how you can contact me anytime. Others bits can be added/removed from time to time but the basic should remain the same.
With these in mind, I regularly reword my welcome message so that it is up to date and I am happy with it. I try to keep it short, warm and bubbly. I want it to be informative and for them to read it and not be overwhelmed with a large email. I must confess however that I always struggle to leave things out.
Here’s my current welcome message. I hope it helps.
“Hello ~FIRSTNAME~,
Welcome to one of the most successful, exciting, and fun, business on the internet! Congratulations!
I have been notified by SFI that I am your sponsor. I am here to help you as much as I can to get your new business going. The first and the most important thing I can tell you is that communication is vital in this business. We need to communicate regularly.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. My e-mail address is XXXXX
~FIRSTNAME~, this is your business. You do not work for SFI - you work for yourself. How much you earn, how successful you become depends largely on you and your drive to succeed.
One of the things I want to make sure that you clearly understand from the beginning is that this is not a “Get Rich Quick” business. You will not earn riches overnight and this is not a “make money for doing nothing” scheme. There is no such thing. This is a real business and you need to work hard and patiently to grow your business. I can help but if you don’t work your business will not grow.
What you do now is go to the "Affiliate Center" click on the gray "START" button and watch the short video there. Next, you should click on the blue "BASICS" button and read that Very Carefully. This is the core of what we do at SFI. You can always come back and read it again any time you want.
By now, you will have many questions, so please e-mail me. Again, my e-mail address is XXXXX and I try to answer all your questions, normally within 24 hours.
By the way, if English is not your primary or preferred language, at the bottom of most of the SFI pages, you will find an area that says "TRANSLATE”. Click on the words "Select Language", pick your language, click on that choice and within a few seconds, the entire page will be translated into your language. Google Translate is not perfect, but it will help.
