While I am no expert I am creating a marketing plan based on my interpretation of the advice and suggestions that Gery has offered us in the pages of this website. So here are my suggestions:
1. Diversify - use different marketing strategies not just one. I am using a combination of purchasing both PSAs and S-Coop Builder as well as personal marketing for ECAs, Triple Clicks and sponsoring affiliates. I am also working on creating a website so I can blog.
2. Consistency - create a plan that allows you to take action every day. This is important in creating forward momentum. Always move forward.
3. Stick-to-it-iveness (I am not sure if this is a real word but that is what I call it). Very simply put it means do not give up. Keep going no matter what. The only thing that guarantees your business failing is giving up on it.
4. Live your business - This is not a whim and is not temporary. It needs to be your way of life. Take your business seriously and talk about your business the same way that other business owners do.
5. Think of your downline like your employees. As their leader it is your job to support them and guide them to success. Think of success as a team sport.
Last but not least (and most important) .... BELIEVE! Believing you can be successful will help you to take the steps necessary to create a successful business.
