How important? I'd suggest it is preferable to have a good sponsor but not essential. Your sponsor is the first point of call for assistance and information, but not the only source? It is more important to find someone in your upline who will respond to your inquiries in a timely manner. Establish that relationship and maintain it. Of course you could always search the information you require through the forum or ask SC as you have done with this question.
