Your SFI leadership page is an important tool for guiding, motivating, inspiring and staying connected with your team members.
How can you effectively use your Leadership Page in motivating and inspiring your team?
- Use the blog section of your leadership page to keep your team members up-to-date with exciting news about the growth of your overall SFI organization. Let them know about your latest marketing plan and strategy in expanding the growth of your SFI business. The higher your SFI ranks badge the more inspired and motivated to follow your suggestions and recommendations. Keep your blog fresh with good content to keep them inspired and motivated.
- Use your blog section to show your team the outcome of their collected efforts. You can mention to them that your badges such as SFI Rank, Overall Power Rank and Fast-Track PSAs are not the result of your effort as their Team Leader alone but most importantly with their efforts too of re-qualifying to the next rank or moving up to the next rank. By doing this you’re inspiring the performance of your team members connecting the dots of their efforts. You’re leading an example to them and will most likely follow your lead.
- The Greeting section is an excellent tool to motivate and inspire your team. Your team are most inspired when their Team Leader takes the time to know them and show that they have their best interests at heart. Your choice of words in your introduction to your team members will let them know in what way you’ll be supporting them. A powerful expression of support is when you include: “I will always do my best to help you the best I can. I'm at your service!” coupled with actions.
- Let your team members do their jobs well by guiding and showing them the right tools and support to make them better at carrying out their roles & responsibilities in growing their SFI business. Use the Leadership Page Recommendations Manager for that. Let them know in this section what SFI/TC products, services and resources you recommend to step up the level and improve their performance in operating their own SFI business.
Be a great teacher, but quickly shift into facilitator mode. Your team are inspired when given the opportunity to learn how to do things that maybe new to them. Stop lecturing and start teaching.
- Another way of effectively inspiring and motivating your team is through the Rewards/Incentives section. For example, you’ll earn trust with your team members and inspire their performance, when you reassign affiliates to them for achieving EA2 or higher. By doing so, you’re expressing your trust and you believe in them. People are inspired and motivated when they know that their Team Leaders believe in their capabilities to deliver.
- Use the Recognition section to show your respect, not just your recognition. When you announce the accomplishment, the reaching of milestones and the contest winners of those to your team members, you’re showing your respect and admiration for their achievements. You’re also creating an environment that will help inspire and motivate them to grow and prosper.
- Give them your best tip in their personal development and growth. Share your words of inspiration and motivation to success in “My Best Tip” section.
Inspiring and motivating your team members to optimally perform requires a Team Leader who can see beyond the obvious in people. Inspiration comes not from something that you turn on and off, but rather from constant behavior – triggered through multiple ways – that makes your team members feel that they matter and that you genuinely care.
