This happens to all the affiliates regardless of their level or rank. The VP total for the month resets at 0 at the beginning of the month and we all have to re qualify for our respective ranks or higher.
The reason for this is because your benefits for the month of, say July, are based on the number of VPs you earned in July. If we do not reset at 0 in the beginning of August and add the July VPs to the August VPs it means that the affiliate will benefit twice on the July VPs. This obviously has a cumulative effect month after month and paying out on previous months VPs is both not fair or sustainable.
You will however notice that your monthly VPs are not totally ignored. They are added to calculate you standing in Leaderboards.
