I have a superstar in our team. Let me tell you a little about her.
She is from Nigeria. When she joined SFI, she took off like a rocket. In fact, I didn't even know she had joined SFI because my computer was in the repair shop at the time. So, I wasn't on the SFI site for a few days. When I finally got my computer back and logged on to SFI, this young lady from Nigeria had already made it to Bronze and in just a few more days, she was a Silver Team Leader.
How did this happen? She is a winner and she has vision. She recognizes an opportunity when she sees it. I didn't have to do a whole lot to motivate her...she motivated herself. Because I recognized that she was a rising star, I immediately transferred affiliates into her organization to help her out and provide her with more incentive. She worked with the affiliates and is building a team. I encouraged her and helped her as much as I could, but she did most of the work on her own.
Superstars are energetic, bright, and insightful. They are positive and focus on ways to be more successful. They are winners. Giving up or quitting are not part of their vocabulary. They are decision makers and they have a plan to succeed. They never stop learning and continue to educate themselves on ways to be more successful. They realize that success is like running a marathon, not a sprint. They are patient and and realize success requires work. They have focus, and they don't allow negative people to influence them. They are great communicators and helpers. They recognize that success is built on helping others be successful. And most of all, they recognize that the main difference between success and failure is taking action.
Superstars "get it". They know what they have, and they go for the gold. I have no doubt that this young lady will win the 365 contest and go on to be very successful in SFI.
