This depends largely on your own personality and your ability to talk with people. Remember you are just a voice over the phone. You do not have much time to grab the listener's attention. Also remember SFI's reputation is on the line every time, so you've got to be professional.
Your preparations must be the very best and well thought out:
- The area where these people live. Is it an affluent area, young people, retirees, young family etc..
- The best time to make the phone calls.
- Your target area will influence how you are going to promote SFI and what and how you will say what you are going to say - language
- Prepare a script and learn it so that you don't come across as reading but genuinely believe on what you are saying.
- Never be rude or be involved with an argument on the phone with a person you have called. Never take 'No' as a personal affront - move onto the next person to call.
