Cold calling may works well in some area or some department. But through my survey report, most people nowadays skip cold calling.
Some say distracting, just like a salesmen bragging for sales.
Some say they are not ready for talks, while focusing on their work, driving or housework activity.
Some say their phone bills are high and prefers text chat.
I guess time has change. And texting becomes more popular in generals.
But, do learn your market well. What are you up to?
Here's an example:
You can't talk big business to a home maid, but you can talk about an additional income from home to them. Mostly, SFI are local low earner who is looking for ways to improve their income.
But you can conduct your cold calling techniques, to an organized body or companies. They likes it if you bring good profits.
So, do your homework then, and learn your market well.
