In my opinion, the best way to advertise to specific targeted groups is to join Forums that deal with that niche. Eg. If you want to target work-at-home groups, then you should join those Work-at-home Forums that they find online. Put in your signature all the links you want to advertise. Don't blatantly try and solicit people, rather let your signature talk for itself.
When you are in the Forum, join in as many discussions as you can give informed replies to or learn from. Ask questions, answer questions .....become a real part of the Forum and gradually people will come and check out your signature and if they are interested they will ask you questions or even join you. :)
