From my experience, PSA that qualified as Team Leaders too quickly faded out very fast once they failed to meet the expectation and requirement of that position. However, I do not encourage nor do I encourage them to be Team Leaders very quickly.
My advise to my PSA upon joining is to get familiarize inside out with the business, then to start recruiting people. You need to be at the right footing before you become a Team Leader. This is important because once you are a Team Leader, you can expect a lot of questions from your downline and you need to be able to answer to those questions quickly and correctly. If you can do that, then only you are able to portray yourself as a leader.
Your advise to your PSA is to get prepared to be a Team Leader and once they are prepared then only encourage them to be a Team Leader.
