An ECA store is an added responsibility for an affiliate. The affiliate must maintain his ECA TConnect Page in an up to date and attractive manner. He must be sure that his advertised products are available and not out of stock and, for his own good, that the products are what people want to buy. He must follow all rules related to ECA business and products. He must make delivery in a timely manner, making sure that the items are packaged safely, and he must be able to pay for the postage until he gets reimbursed. And he must communicate with customers in a timely manner.
Failure to be honest or to keep up with TC standards can cost an ECA store owner his ECA license or even his membership in SFI/TC.
In addition, after the initial appearance on the "What's New at TC" list, he is responsible for advertising his store's products.
If a person does become an ECA, he will have many benefits, not the least being the extra income associated with selling his items. Also he will get sales VP and shares in the Executive Pool.
As he advertises his items, they will be picked up by the search engines and listed when someone does a search for them. These people are usually not SFI affiliates, so they may become his PRMs and maybe even sign up to SFI. The heading does give room for that type of invitation.
An ECA has the option to offer pick up at his store, knocking down the cost of shipping. Affiliates who live nearby can take advantage of this, especially in countries outside of the USA. Local economy might also be supplemented if the ECA has a thriving business and hires help.
When an affiliate has his own ECA store, he has gone through the whole process of becoming one and can then be more believable when he tells other merchant and craftsmen in his area about becoming an ECA.
