This is a really good question. The answer will be different for everyone. It depends on whether or not you have Team Leaders with their own large downline, how many first line PSAs you have who are Team Leaders or EA2s etc.
Personally I have a huge downline. The most active ones are PSAs level two and down and CSAs. The reason is that I help everyone as personally as possible. ECards are very useful. I copy and paste welcome letters and training to new affiliates, and for other things, just changing it here and there to personalize it. I also check their profiles to help them reach their goals.
Here's a list of some of the things I do:
1. Maintain my leadership page: blog, recognition, personal story and tips, contests and suggestions for great TripleClick products. I include information on advertising and different ways to earn income right from the beginning.
2. Let my downline know when I have updated anything on my leadership page, and give them a reason to check it out.
3. Congratulate them for winning a contest or reaching a level like EA or Team Leader, either by Stream Messages or personal e-Cards.
4. Use my genealogy to keep track of how active downline are doing. I concentrate mainly on my first level PSAs but also check out anyone who has acquired any VP at all. I still send out team mail to everyone once per week. At the end I remind them that they can contact me for their SFI# if they have forgotten or use their email to log in to www.sfimg.com and give my leadership page and contact information.
5. Send eCards for birthdays and anniversaries, and for tips. I always point out the positive first when I give advice.
6. Promptly answer questions in team mail and email or chat.
7. Pass on information from the forum, Alerts page, ASK SC, and training sites at SFI.
8. Let new affiliates know where they can find their upline and encourage them to keep in contact. (info at bottom of Stream Page)
9. Use gift certificates or TCredits for those who are active but struggling to maintain EA2, even if they aren't on my first line.
10. Reassign my first-line affiliates, who are not active, to new active affiliates so they can send out team mail, getting 30 VP per week. This will get them to EA faster. I always remind new affiliates to transfer their VP to the next month if they haven't reached 1500 VP and to collect their CSAs on their Alerts page when they do reach 1500 VP for the first time.
11. Reassign EA2s, or even a BTL on my first line to long-term Team Leaders on my first line to encourage them to keep working. I help these Team Leaders with their newly assigned affiliates, just like I do with all reassignments.
12. I ask my sponsor to reassign some of his to me. I let my downline know. This is great team work and is a good example.
There is a lot more that can be done like having webinars, Skype, You tube, social media sites for your team. So far i haven't done this. I do have a website that I send my affiliates to. It explains how to get started. Ten lessons are listed.
Hope this helps.
