Just put yourself in the shoes of the your target,
1. Will you be ready to read a very long ad or listen to a very long audio/video, specially when you are not/less interested in that product?
2. What makes you buy something when you dont know much about it?
3. Do you buy products which are not of much use to you, just because you liked that product?
In my view, the above questions will give you the answer.
It actually does not make any difference with the size of information you provide (however it should not be too much) but yes it should hit and may be change the decision and force the reader to buy that product.
