The main reason why so many affiliates choose not to act after joining SFI is because they don't understand how it all works and they are afraid to try and fail. I have recruited 1000s of PSAs and I can tell that if you can pay Google for traffic they can get your sign ups. Some of these 'signups' are not legitimately qualified by your targeting, some are not 'valid' because they were paid to click on your ad without regard to the content, and just a small portion is 'dead on'. In the beginning of your ppc advertising you will see this clearly. But with tracking and improvement over time, you should only have a small number of 'erroneous clicks'.
Fear of the unknown and procrastination has robbed more affiliates of their affiliate commissions than Google has through PTR and PTC programs and domains. Most are overcome by the 'paralysis of analysis' syndrome. They want to know everything about SFI/TripleClicks and marketing online before the do anything. Then after studying page after page of information they are overwhelmed and loss in the sea of information.
While this can be traced to 90% of all affiliates, there are those few affiliates that have a knack for learning and entrepreneurship. Most of us learn by doing. Experience is not only the best teacher but the only teacher. So since most have no experience in this genre, they choose not to do and most never will achieve success because of this not because SFI is complicated or it costs too much.
