I am reminded of the saying: "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink."
People join SFI for many different reasons and the reason why they joined directly affects how active they become. I don't know if there is a good answer that will produce the ideal results because if one existed, we would all be much better off than we are now, but there are a few ideas that come to mind to help your new PSAs.
1. Try to establish a connection beyond the weekly team mail and other team related activities. - Is there a time you can chat or call on the phone?
2. Get to know something personal about your PSA to see if there is something in common. - Even though we are part of an online business, we are real people. The more we get to know about each other, the more comfortable we will feel with being part of the team.
3. Try not to make a sales pitch every time you communicate. - This helps with the first two points because you are reaching out to the person rather than trying to generate activity from your PSA. There is nothing wrong with trying to help your PSAs because as the sponsor, you need to look out for ways to help them succeed, but there are times when you need to get the point across that this is a business where you can get to know your team on a more personal level.
Overall, people want to commit to the places where they feel a connection. Add the personal touch to your team and you could see better results.
