All the affiliates who engage themselves in any advertising campaign must follow certain guidelines so that the success percentage is very high - say 85-90%.
(a) The Language used in the advertising campaign must be very clear & simple and grammatically correct.
(b) The advertising campaign literature must be properly paragraphed with correct headings and sub-headings at appropriate places.
(c) The spacing between the lines, sentences and paragraphs must be specially taken care of.
(d) The advertising campaign must highlight all the salient features of the product or service that is being advertised.
(e) The advertising content must be entirely based on truth and must be possible for everybody to verify the content and about its truthfulness.
(f) Wherever necessary some attractive graphics may be added but the graphics should be meaningful and in some way related the product or service or to the advertising campaign or the company.
(g) After a long and deep thoughtful process one must come to the conclusion about what one should opt as the medium of the advertising campaign. He should set the target audiences, number of hits, the minimum clicks, duration of the advertising campaign, expenditure to be incurred on the advertising campaign, which part of the globe he intends to advertise, find out the local culture and tradition, find out all the demographic and personal details of the local people.
(f) A periodic check about the latest results must be set up for the entire duration of the advertising campaign.
(g) Always be on the look-out for various measures as to how to improve the advertising campaign for the products and services.
(h) Always keep an eye on the competitors who are dealing the identical or similar products and services, what are the means and methods they are adopting, what is their pricing strategy? what is their product or service distribution strategy? What are the rebates and incentives they are planning or providing to the prospective customers or end users??
Finally when we come to the conclusion I would personally say that the advertising information should possess all the important information which are based on facts and must be of moderate length and moderately attractive.
