My first reaction to your question was NO! it is not possible to help too much. Then I thought about it a bit and now I want to say - the answer is YES and NO.
If you do your affiliates tasks for them you are helping too much. They have to learn how to do it and this will not happen if you do it for them. If they do not understand the instructions you can simplify it and TELL them how to do it. Do no do it for them.
If you support and give advice to affiliates when they ask for help or, send gift certificates or T-credits (if you can afford it)to your working affiliates, you are not helping too much. Some of your affiliates really want to succeed but they simply do not have the money to spend on a Standing order right away. Helping them until they can place a standing order or qualify as EA or higher on their own might cost you at first but once their business is steady you will reap the rewards.
I will not waste my credits on affiliates that joined and never came back again. Sending them a weekly mail and maybe tip e-cards is enough.
