Great question Emma!
Yes, I do believe there is such a thing as helping your affiliates too much - Only if the recruit is clearly not interested in being active on your team.
As a Sponsor or Co-Sponsor, your goal is to recruit and teach your team and steer them on their way to success. In order to do that, you need to recruit people who are:
1. Looking for a way to grow a second income
2. Are willing to invest time and money
3. Are dedicated and focused
4. Willing to learn how to market themselves
5. Self Starter and does not need supervision
*** Never build your business with people who have no real interest in building with you. ***
A recruit is not interested in your opportunity if they simply stop responding to you. I would suggest sending a few individual messages to the recruit in question and if you still receive no response, then set a reminder to send a follow up email in a month or so. Maybe something would have changed by then, however, continue to send the recruit your weekly team progress report. Maybe that will inspire them to try again.
Given the above scenario where the affiliate is clearly indicating their lack of interest in being active on the team, then yes, I think that helping your affiliate too much would be a waste of your time. In essence, my point is that before you decide to help, you need to gauge your helping attitude so that it matches your recruit’s can-do attitude. Make sure you are on the same page about what you both want to achieve so that you can both be clear about what is expected from the both of you.
