When meeting new prospect, most commonly question (if not first) is - what is it about? You should choose the words about explaining them.
Before anything,I must tell you that it ALL depends from person to person.
For one the turn-off factor will be that this is an American based company (believe or not,I met some persons who look everything through "political" glasses, and you know it's a fact that American government is involved in many conflicts around the world;and there's no way you can explain them anything after they hear it's "American company"),and for other it can be "turn-on" (for some America is a rich country, and working for American based company is a great thing).
See,it depends from person to person.
But OK,I'll try to present you some general turn-offs from my experience.
First off, tell no lies. They should get right picture of what is SFI about. If you're telling them something that is not like that, you may gain advantage in the beginning (get signed them as your members). But when they find out - you'll loose all their respect for you.Even if you afterwards explain them all in right way, because of that cardinal mistake you'll loose them.
Secondly, try to avoid speaking about real income in the first month(s).For most of the people I spoke with it was not-so-positive side.Since most of them have their regular jobs, and regular salary, and when they compare it with first month in SFI - many found it disappointing.Ofcourse, once again, you should not lie them and promising "millions" (even thou they can go,theoretically speaking,Platinium leader in the first month - if they wish so).I found it better to tell them that the income may vary from few dollars to few hundreds dollars, depending on how much they are working (the more the bigger,it's logical). That kind of answer usually satisfy them.
Thirdly, words "multilevel marketing" (MLM) may sound "strange" (not to use word "bad") in other's ears.Maybe to try to avoid it such phrase while talking about SFI.Because, some people already some kind of contact with MLM and a bad experience:they see it only as a way that someone else (you) wants to earn money on them.I know this is in fact MLM business, but not all people are introduced to what exactly is MLM.They have only bad experience to remind them.So better stay focused on other aspects of this job:no boss,no strict working time, holiday is whenever you wish so,possibility of making full-time business and residual income, etc.
Also, one advise:when facing someone who "knows everything about everything",who is mainly negative, who is ready to argue with you till the end of time - escape such persons and conversations about SFI with them. You're only loosing your time.
