Communication is key when it comes to business generally. More importantly, when your success depend on others such as it is in SFI;
right words are like ointment that heals wounds; and move the spirit of people to work.
To communicate effectively with your team, the following points are relevant:
1. See your team members as colleagues and not your sub-ordinate, therefore don't be too pushy in what you want them to do.
2. Carefully select your words to be in form of advice rather than criticizing.
3. Use inclusive words like "we", "our", "all of us" etc. in your email.
4. Appreciate the affiliate's contribution before mentioning what he or she should improve upon (if any).
5. Always share your past experiences in related or similar situation and how you survived it.
6. If using email; let your mail content be formal instead of informal.
7. Lead by example, ensure you have done what you want your PSAs and/or CSAs to do.
8. Hash words should NEVER proceed from your mouth to your team members at any time.
9. Let them know you are willing to help them achieve success as your team members.
10 .Ensure your leadership page and blog are up-to-date;direct them to your blog and Leadership page in every correspondence.
