This is tricky because people react differently. What one may consider as demanding may not be considered that way by someone else. I was a bit worried about that very thing with one of my PSAs. In the end I asked her to let me know if she felt I was being too pushy and she reassured me that, no, I wasn't and encouraged me to keep on contacting her and giving her more guidance as she needed 'pushing' to get the job done as she wasn't good at self motivation.
I think the safest way therefore is to actually ASK your PSA if they like or want your continued contact. I'm sure that if the person feels confident in understanding the business, and doesn't need your continued guidance, they will be happy to let you know. The important thing is to build good relationships in the beginning so that you are able to have friendly discussions about these topics without either party causing offence to the other.
