Well a good question and I am a living proof of the same.
My advice to you is Definitely YES. "You should not only acknowledge or welcome them back but you should go all out to motivate as well to boost up their confidence levels". Check their ledger from time to time and give them quick tips on what can be done further.
Just tell them that they are welcome back and that you will always be available to assist in every way possible.
As an example this is my story :
I enrolled in February 2014 and was inactive for 5 months.
Then I decided to read about SFI and I became active again. The sad part is I had been eliminated from the E365 challenge but nothing stops me now.
My sponsor is a gem and was motivating me all the way. I have been a Bronze Team Leader for the last 2 months and I am sure I will be one for September 2014 as well.
I have done my homework and will proudly say SFI ROCKS!
