There are many ways to use printed flyers to attract the specified target audiences. I will focus on no or low cost ways that any affiliate, new or experienced may utilize to increase referrals.
1. Distribute where you shop: We all use the supermarket and most of us have a favourite supermarket where we have established relationships with workers and even frequent shoppers. I have a good rapport with the cashiers and packers at the supermarkets that I frequent. Leaving a few flyers to distribute to their customers is a good idea. I tip the packers for assisting me to my car and they could be asked to distribute the flyers to other customers.
2. Newspaper Vendors: Find out the days when the newspapers in your neighbourhood have the heaviest circulation and enlist the help of newspaper vendors to place a flyer per newspaper. In my country, the Friday newspaper is heavily focused on business and finance. Place the ECA flyer in this publication. Monday publications deal with lifestyle which is suited for PRM referrals while Sunday, which has the largest distribution could focus on PSA referrals. This approach attempts to target specific interests based on the predominant focus of the publication. You may wish to agree a small sum with the vendors to ensure they take the task seriously.
3. Small Business Fora: Many countries have small business umbrella groups/associations and other formal support mechanisms in place specifically targeted at micro, small and medium sized businesses. The ECA opportunity could be promoted as an important growth strategy for these businesses. The ECA flyer would be ideal for distribution among these organizations to be sent out to their members.
4. Bulletin Boards: Target colleges, neighbourhood groups, etc. to distribute these flyers.
