Start by thinking of your Member TConnect page as your personal "garage sale" or "yard sale" site; i.e., an alternative to Buy It Now eBay listings.
Here are some tips for successful listings:
1. Be clear and specific in your product descriptions. Remember, people can't physically See your products, you want to mention all of the benefits of it and detail it as much as possible.
2. Take clear and close-up photos, and upload as many as TC allows. Keep any "junk" out of the background too. Example: If you're selling a printer or computer, don't take the photo with a dirty office in the background. Move the item to a clear and clean place in your house with a solid backdrop and good lighting before you take the photo.
3. Promote your listing! Share it on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, even craigslist.org Send out a Genealogy Team mail letting them know you have new items in your store.
Post it on the Stream tab too! Remember, other SFI members can earn a commission and earn points by selling products in your store, so you've got a built-in affiliate program ready for you to help selling.
