People often have their reasons for leaving a site when they have been active, it's just the way things go and you just have to really move on and keep on pushing to draw in more affiliates to your downline and hope that they will see the potential of SFI.
Most people expect things to happen quickly without them having to put the work in themselves, and they are the ones that will be constantly jumping from site to site never really applying themselves so there is no point in dwelling on it if you have such affiliates and they become inactive at SFI, your efforts would be much better applied on supporting those that are active and also bringing in new leads.
There will always be the odd few individuals that have their reasons for becoming inactive and come back at a later date, all you can really do is support your team by maintaining regular contact through the group mailer and hope that those who are active will remain active, and that others will see the potential of what could come from them putting in a bit of work!
