In my view, this depends most heavily upon your goals. As an example, if your primary goal is to earn a part-time income (or an income of any sort, really), then you can measure the amount of money you are earning through SFI. If you are not meeting your goal, then you are not successful. (Yet! :)
The same could be said for your recruiting efforts...for example, if you set a goal of recruiting 20 PSAs per month but only recruit 3, then you are not yet successful.
So here is what I would recommend to you: take a look at your goals, then measure yourself against those goals. Only you can know what all of your true goals are.
