When you use the auto-bidder you have to decide how much you are prepared to spend - which means you can do other things and the auto-bidder goes on without you - until it reaches the limit set by you. If you are not there to carry on bidding it could be the next bid that wins the auction - in other words you might loose with one credit.
Watch the names of the people bidding - you will quickly see certain names coming up and winning the bids time after time. It seems these people will do whatever it takes and will go on bidding to the end - don't waste your precious credits on this because no matter how far you are prepared to go - they will go further.
I only bid on things that I really can use and if they have double MRP attached to them - that way I win even if I do not win the auction. I used the auto-bidder once and it was not satisfying, it ate up my credits and I did not win the auction.
Of course - if you have the financial means and you are willing to chase up the price to win the auction you can always do the bid-dogs auctions and give the other big dogs a run for their money.
