The best SFI Gateway to use depends entirely on your audience. If you have people looking for a sales platform--and I know many crafters looking for additional ways to sell online--the ECA Gateway is by far the best and works out most profitable because of all the commissions you can earn when they start promoting and selling. Once they're in, you might also convert them to becoming SFI affiliates. On the other hand, there are people who prefer the residual income route. For them, the invitation gateway is the best. With this logic, you can see that each of the gateway links has a different target audience.
Some of them, like the Wave3 gateway, carry the most difficulty in getting the person to sign up and follow through with the decal and picture. I've found many people are either too lazy or too apathetic to follow through--your mileage may vary. Similarly, it has seemed lately that musicians don't follow through well enough to bring their fans in to vote for them, with a common complaint that it seems to them like a straight-up cash-grab by TripleClicks. I tend not to use this one as much.
For me, it's the ECA link that grabs people's attention--I can sell people on it well because they feel that it can bring them money more quickly.
