Great question!
Everybody's definition of success is different. It could be financial, could be status, it could be having more time for your family. Often it is about feeling secure.
The best way is to set goals: short-term, medium-term and long-term. Where do you see yourself in 6 months, 2 years, 5 years? Make a list of each type of goal.
Check in with yourself regularly and ask "Is what I am doing moving me towards or away from my goals?".
Your goal in the short-term may not be financial. It may be the steps you need to take on the way to your financial goals, mainly in terms of educating yourself.
Recognise your achievements along the way. At the end of 6 months, you may know how to build a website, how to build and motivate a team, how to organise your time.
Mark them off your list, keep a record of even more things you have achieved along the way. Even award yourself a certificate to keep in a portfolio.
Remember, SFI has it's own unique way of measuring your success. Just look at all your badges! When I started with SFI just a few months ago, I saw people's long lists of profile badges and thought 'Wow, that's impressive'. Now I look at mine and I feel kinda impressed with myself :)
Give yourself a big pat on the back, and tell yourself how far you've come.
