I suppose it would likely depend on your method. I've been able to make the gift cards work well in person because I attend many networking events of different sorts; because I can gauge who shops online and would appreciate TripleClicks for what it provides, I find it very successful. However, I could see the value, for example, of setting up a landing page and rewarding people who subscribe to your blog or suchlike with a free Gift Card, and that, too, might prove to be a strong strategy.
Just sending out the gift card codes, by comparison, would probably be a bit weaker because your recipient will not have invested any effort into the process, which means that he or she would be less likely to investigate the T-Credits thereon.
